What happens if I move school?

If you have moved schools and your new school is using sQuizya then that’s great, you can take your work with you. All work that has not been published to the sQuizya Library can be transferred between accounts. (If it is in sQuizya Library you will be able to access it through your new school without the need to move it.)

You will need to create another sQuizya account within your new school and then transfer your original work into your new account. The new account will require a new email until the process is completed. If you attempt to open a new account with an email that is already in use within sQuizya, your attempt will fail.

Example. To transfer work from one sQuizya account created with teacher@school.edu.com to a new account in a new school but using the same email follow these steps.

  1. Set up a new account in your new school using a private email. eg. teacher@gmail.com
  2. Click on your name in the top right-hand corner of the dashboard of the teacher@school.edu.com account.
  3. Select ‘Account Settings’
  4. Click on ‘Transfer’
  5. Select from the options ‘Transfer Entire Work in Progress’ or ‘Transfer individual zApps/zApp Books’
    1. If you select ‘Transfer entire Work in Progress’, clicking ‘Get Transfer Code’ will display your unique code, which needs to be entered within 24 hours of generating the code.
    2. If you select ‘Transfer individual zApps/zApp Books, ’you will see a list of all the zApps and zApp Books from within your Work in Progress that are able to be transferred (see What can I transfer?) Click ‘Get Transfer Code’ next to the desired zApp or zApp Book to display your unique code, which needs to be entered within 24 hours of generating the code.
  6. Log in to the other sQuizya account using teacher@gmail.com
  7. Click on the name in the top right-hand corner of your dashboard
  8. Select ‘Account Settings’
  9. Click on ‘Import’.
  10. Enter the unique Transfer Code into the field provided and click ‘Import’. The imported zApp(s)/zApp Book(s) will appear in the Work in Progress library of the account.
  11. Ask the administrator of your old school to change your email address to something like teacher1@school.edu.com. That account can now be archived at any time.
  12. Ask the administrator of your new school to replace teacher@gmail.com to teacher@school.edu.com

If you are given a new email address at your new school then the process is much simpler. Use this email in step 1 and forget steps 11 and 12.
